Jason

I am husband to Kelly, and father to our two children Samantha and Emmett.

The majority of my free time is focused on doing all sorts of things with our children. Outside of that my hobbies include photography, hiking, and of course exploring this great country of ours in our airstream!

I work  as an IT professional specializing in data center technologies for a Midwest based solution provider.

On our road trips, I am the sole driver, I haven't been able to convince Kelly to give driving our 51 ft long rig a try yet. I also do most of the set up of the campsites.

I am wife to Jason, and mother to our two children Samantha and Emmett.

I enjoy spending time on all the wonderful activities we plan for our kids and family. I love movies, camping, shopping and traveling.

I work as an IT professional supporting the eCommerce division of a large retailer headquartered here in Wisconsin.

On our road trips, I am the activities coordinator keeping the children entertained for long days in the car and planning out our daily activities. I also pretty much pack and unpack the camper and truck as fast as I can.

2015: I am a very active third-grader and keep my parents busier than they would like with all of my activities.  I have horseback riding lessons, bowling, 4-H Dog project, and  4-H Horse project almost every week.

I am the one who spends so much of my free time reading about where we are heading on our trips that I constantly surprise my family with facts and knowledge about what we are visiting.  I also am a budding photographer and love taking photos of the places and things we see.

Emmett

2015: I am a chatterbox three year old cheerful young boy.  My interests generally cover anything with wheels and an engine.

During our last trip to yellowstone I surprise everyone by how excited and interested I was in the geo-thermal features all around that area.  We visited when it was still cool and I would scream "Steam!" in joy around almost every corner in the road!  Also the animals we saw there were very exciting.

Yogi

2015: I am a pug and my masters Jason and Kelly brought me home as a puppy over 12 years ago and I have been a loved part of the family ever since.  I am getting a little older now and have slowed down some but I still have some fire left in me! My birthday is January 1.

Cookie

2015: Hi, I'm Cookie!  I was brought into the family late last year as Jason, Kelly, Samantha, Emmett, and Yogi rescued me from a shelter.  They said my birthday is December 3 but my family thinks I'm about a year and a half old. It looks like I'm a cross between a dachshund and a springer spaniel. I have a lot of energy but still mostly well behaved and Samantha is training me every week as part of her 4-H Dog project, so I'm learning really quickly!

30FB Bunk

We had long been enamored with the history, styling, and timelessness of Airstream but for the most part had put our interest aside as a someday-maybe dream.  As the children grew up we made the transition from roughing-it minimalist tent campers to a full-featured folding camper.

We wanted to start a family tradition of making a cross-country road trip to one of our country's beautiful national parks each year and the folding camper we had at the time was not going to be up for that level of use. We decided it was time to look into getting a travel trailer and spent a lot of time looking into various options. There are a lot of good travel trailers out there, but none could compare to the Airstreams we had looked at.

One of the things that we loved about the folding camper was that the children had their own bed that didn't have to be taken down each morning.  Additionally they had some of their own space which we felt was important when going on long trips. When we went looking at travel trailers, keeping that functionality meant going big.  The 30FB is a unique layout in the Airstream line and fits what we were looking for perfectly.

Now that we have had some long trips living in our Airstream, all of us appreciate it even more than we expected.  Wherever we go, it feels like home when we come back at the end of the day.
